Turning On and Off the Camera
Toturn on the camera,open the slidecover.
After the power-on lamp (green)lightsfor a moment,
the monitor will turn on.
To turn offthe camera, close the slide cover.
When the camera turns off, both the monitor and
power-on lamp will turn off.

Be sure to keep your fingers away from the lens when opening the slide cover.
[] Power Saving Function (Auto Off}
If no operations are per_rmed _r a while, the monitor will turn off, the camera will enter standby
mode, and the power on lamp will blink.
While the power on lamp is blinking, press the shutter release button to reactivate the monitor,
• Camera enters standby mode in about a minute (default setting) during shooting or playback
mode.
• The time allowed to elapse before the camera enters standby mode can be changed from the
Auto off option ([._ 155) in the setup menu (_ 145).
• When the AC Adapter EH 62D (available separately, _ 169) is connected, a screen saver fu notion
is activated to prevent screen burn when no operations are performed for about a minute (default
setting, _ 155),
