First Steps; Inserting The Battery - Nikon COOLPIX S80 User Manual

Insert a Rechargeable Lidon Battery EN-EL10 (supplied) into the camera.
• Charge the battery before the first use or when the battery is running low
(_ 16).

Slide the battery-chamber/memory [ ]i :
card slot cover in the direction | (l_r
indicated by the arrow ((1_)and open / 7_ .,ll L_CARD, .... /I

2 Insert the battery.
Confirmthat the battery's positive (+) and
negative( ) terminalsare oriented correctlyas //
shown on the label at the battery chamber
opening, and insert the battery.
Usethe battery to push up the orange battery
latch in the direction indicated by the arrow ((1])
and fully insert the battery((2]).
The batterylatch will spring back into placewhen
the battery is fully inserted.
_1_ Inserting the Battery
Inserting the battery upside down or backwards
could damage the camera. Be sure to check that
the battery is in the correct orientation.
