Digital Closed Captioning
The Digital Closed Captioning menu lets you configure the way you choose to view the digital captioning. This menu will let
you choose the type of closed captioning service, font type, font size, font style. The colors sub-menu lets you set the color
of the font, (Foreground), color of the text box (Background) on which the closed caption text is displayed, the opacity of the
font (ForeOpacity), the opacity of the text box (BackOpacity), and the Outline of the drop shadow (if selected under Style).

In the digital closed captioning sub-menu, select Colors and press • to display the menu.

You may encounter the following type of Digital Closed Caption display. Some television stations are broadcasting closed
caption in the following manner with the text super imposed on a black box. In this case, if you select the Background color
and change the BackOpacity, only the space just behind the text block will change the opacity; not the entire black box.
This is a type of format which is broadcast and is not a defect of the HDTV Digital Receiver.
