19.2 v nickel-cadmium/lithium-ion in-vehicle charger

The lithium-ion battery pack can be used in temperatures
down to -4*E Put the battery pack on a tool and us_ the
tool in a light duty application. After about a minute, the
pack willhave warmed up and begln operating normally.
ENERGIZING- BATTERY CHARGER

connector firmly, place connector into a cigarette lighter

POWER LED will come on.
CAUTION:
If the 12 V adaptor does not fit firmly
into the olgaratte lighter receptacle or powerpoint,
the receptacle may not be sLtltable for use with the
.charger. A poor connection at tf_ebase of the 12 V
.adaptorcguld
lead to electrical problems In the
vehicle outside of the protection offered by the
vehicle or charger's fuse.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plaslics are susceptible to damage from vadous types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use.
Use clean clothe to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc,

CHANGING
FUSE
See Figure 4, page it.
The 12 V adaptor contains a 250 V 8 Amp fuse to protect
the adaptor and charger from unexpected power surges.
To replace the fuse:
• Unscrew the fuse cap on the top of the 12 V adaptor.
• R_p[ace old fuse with new one. If spdng comes out, be
sure to reinsertlt before replacing new fuse.
Thread fuse cap back onto adaptor. Tighten secUrely.
BATTERIES
This charger will accept all Craftsman EX and DieHard
192. Volt battery packs. Length of servk_e from each
charging willdepend on the type of work you are doing,

• Store the battery pack where the temperaturaIs below
80=F and away from moisture.
• Store b_tery packs in a 30%-50% charged condition.
• Every six months of storage, charge the pa_ as no'rm_.
For nickel-cadmium battei'ies:
