CHECKLIST

The following problems may not be failures. Before contacting an authorized SHARP service center,
please check it once more.
Problem

Probable Cause
Remedy
Securely plug the power cord into the machine power
connector and the receptacle.
Set the power switch to "ON". (page 18)
Gently close the side cover.
Gently close the 1) front cover and 2) side cover in that
order.
Load the paper feed tray with paper properly. Refer to
"LOADING COPY PAPER" in the Copy Function Manual.
Remove excess sheets of paper from the paper feed/bypass
tray.
Check that the paper conforms to the standard. Refer to
"Types and sizes of copy paper".
Do not use curled or folded paper. When the printer will
be idle for long periods of time, remove the paper from the
trays, pack it to prevent moisture absorption, and store it
in a cold, dark place.
Open the side and front covers and remove paper scraps.
Position them properly according to the paper size.
Remove excess sheets of paper from the paper feed/bypass
tray.
Make sure that the TD cartridge or drum cartridge is
installed properly.
Delete unnecessary files and application software to
increase the free space of the hard disk.
Check to see if the operating system is as specified in
"Computer Requirements". (page 5)
Load paper into the paper feed/bypass tray properly.
Remove excess sheets of paper from the paper feed/bypass
tray.
