Printing data during the printing of received fax data
(when the extension telephone is connected to the TEL jack)
Print data is received, but cannot be printed right away because the unit is busy printing the received fax data. The print
data is printed after the received fax data finishes printing.
Receiving a telephone call during the printing of received fax data
You can receive a telephone call while printing received fax data. If the telephone call is a fax transmission you can
interrupt the printing of received fax data to receive the incoming fax. To interrupt the printing of received fax data to
receive a fax, perform the following steps.
Confirm that fax mode is selected.

(If the unit is in copier mode, press the COPY/FAX key)
If there are documents in the single pass feeder or on the original table, remove them.

Press the START key.

Receiving begins.
Other combinations of operations

When an extension telephone is connected to the unit you can make a telephone call from the extension telephone.

When an extension telephone is connected to the unit, you can make a telephone call from the extension telephone.

The received fax data is printed after the data printing finishes.

When scanning multiples sheets of originals, the time needed to scan each sheet may be longer than that in a normal
operation.

Automatically changes to substitute reception.

Because scanning has priority, the printing of received fax data may be suspended until all of the scanning is finished.

The unit is busy with the current operation, therefore the direct sending job must wait. After the current operation is
finished, direct sending begins.
