Oil Fill

however, y ou MUSTcheckthe oil levelbeforeoperating,Oil shouldbe
changedonce after thefirst two hoursof operationand every 25 hours
of operationthereafter,Use thegrade of engineoil specifiedin the
Maintenance section,

Removethe oil fill cap/dipstickfrom the oil fill tube,

Checkthat the levelof oil is up to the FULLmarkon the dipstick,
If needed,pouroil slowlyintothe oil fill tubeuntila FULLoil level
is achieved,
3,
Replacethe oil fill cap/dipstick,
STARTmNG THE MOWER

Rebase all controlson the mowerto preventwheelsor blades
from rotating,
2,
Movegear shift leverto neutral(N) position,
3,
Movethe throttb/choke control leverfully upwardtochoke setting
I_1 to starta cold engineor to fast(rabbit)setting _11 to starta
warm engine,
4,
Tostart engine usingrecoilstarter:
a,
Standon bft side (asviewedfrom behind handbbars)of ma-
chine, Be sureyour feetare safelyawayfrom the underside
of the mowerdeck and all mowercontrolsare released,
b,
Graspstarterrope handb and pull slowlyuntil ropepulls
slightlyharder,Let rope rewindslowly,Then pull rope with a
rapid,full arm stroke,Letrope returnslowly,If engine failsto
start after threepulls, repeatinstructions(try settingthrottle
at fast setting),
c,
Whenenginestarts,operatein fast throttlesetting_1_
(movethrottle/chokecontrol bver from chokesettingto fast
setting),
Lookbehindthe mowerbeforeand duringreverseoperation,Stop
the mowerbladesbeforeoperatingin reverse,
If you strikea foreignobiect,stop the engine,Removewirefrom the
sparkplug,thoroughlyinspectmowerforany damage,and repair
damagebeforerestartingand operating,Extensivevibrationof
mowerduring operationis an indicationof damage,The unitshould
be promptlyinspectedand repaired,
