WARNING: Use this appliance correctly. Read all instructions before using this
appliance. If the information in this manual is not followed exactly, a fire or explosion

fire, electric shock or injury to persons, take these precautions:
Installation
Ensure your appliance is installed and grounded by a qualified servicer.
Know where and how to switch off power to the cooktop. Have the servicer show
you the location of the circuit breaker. Mark it for easy future reference. See details
in the installation guide.

This appliance is intended for family household use only. Is not approved for outdoor
use. See the Warranty. If you have any questions, contact the manufacturer.

use. NEVER use the cooktop to warm or heat a room. The appliance could
overheat. Never use the appliance to store items.
Child safety
Do not allow children to use the appliance without close supervision by an adult.
Children and pets should not be left alone or unattended in the area where the
appliance is in use. They should never be allowed to play in its vicinity, whether or
not the appliance is in use.
When children become old enough to use the appliance, it is the legal responsibility
of the parents or legal guardians to ensure that they are instructed in safe practices
by qualified persons.
Do not allow anyone to climb, stand, lean, sit or hang on any part of an appliance,
especially a door. This can damage the appliance and the unit may tip over,
potentially causing severe injury.
CAUTION: Do not store objects of interest to children above or at the back of the
cooktop. Children climbing on the cooktop to reach items could be seriously
injured.
Cooking safety
Do not allow plastic, paper, cloth, covers or any other large metallic objects to come
in contact with a burner. Do not allow pans to boil dry. Wear proper apparel. Loose
fitting garments, hanging sleeves, ties or scarves should never be worn while
cooking. Hair should be pulled back.
DO NOT TOUCH SURFACE UNITS OR AREAS NEAR UNITS. Surface units may be
hot even though they are dark in color. Areas near surface units may become hot
enough to cause burns. During and after use, do not touch or let clothing or other
flammable materials come into contact with surface units or areas near units until
they have had sufficient time to cool.
Use only dry potholders; moist or damp potholders on hot surfaces may cause
burns from steam. Do not let potholder touch hot heating elements. Do not use a
towel or bulky cloth.
