The Model M1054 is the same machine as the Model M1048 except for improvements to the headstock,
belt tension mechanism, vise, and other small changes. The Data Sheet and parts breakdowns in this
insert replace the corresponding sections in the M1048 manual. All other content in the Model M1048
owner's manual applies to this machine. Before operating your new machine, you MUST read and
understand this insert and the entire Model M1048 manual to reduce the risk of injury when using this
machine.

    M1048 10" x 18" Metal Cutting Bandsaw OPERATIONS General The Model M1048 will perform many types of operations that are beyond the scope of this manual. Many of these operations can be dangerous or deadly if performed incorrectly. The instructions in this section are written with the understanding that the operator has the necessary knowl- edge and skills to operate this machine.
  • Page 27 M1048 10" x 18" Metal Cutting Bandsaw The vise can be adjusted to cut any angle from a straight 90 degree cut-off, to a 45 degree angle by loosening the Vise Lock Handle two vise lock handles. Positive stops at 90° and 45° allow you to quickly return the rear jaw to either angle.
