Turn the blade tension knob clockwise to increase the blade tension and counterclockwise to decrease it. If the blade is not tensioned enough, it will drift while cutting, making it difficult to follow your cutting lines.

To reduce the risk of injury from unexpected fast speed at startup, always rotate the variable-speed dial to its slowest setting when starting/stopping the scroll saw.

    Model W1870 (For Machines Mfd. Since 03/19) Replacing.Fuse The purpose of the fuse is to protect the motor and circuit board. If the fuse blows, the light will turn ON but the motor will not start. You can verify if the fuse has blown or not by holding it up to the light and inspecting the element inside the glass (the element looks like a thin wire).
