Shooting Mode
Movie .......................................... R ecords movies.
Photo ........................................... S hoots photos.
Smth SIw REC...........................Records smooth slow motion movies.
Golf Shot .................................... D ivides two seconds of fast movement into frames which are then
recorded as a movie and photos. Keep the subject in the white frame in the
center of the screen when recording.
Camera/Mic
Manual Settings
White Balance ................. Adjusts the color balance to the recording environment.
Spot Meter/Fcs ............... Adjusts the brightness and focus for the selected subject simultaneously.
Spot Meter ....................... Adjusts the brightness of images to a subject you touch on the screen.
Spot Focus ....................... Adjusts the focus on a subject you touch on the screen.
Exposure ........................... Adjusts the brightness of movies_hotos. If you select [Manual], adjust
the brightness (exposure) using _/[Z_.
Focus .................................. Adjusts the focus manually. If you select [Manual], select _ to adjust
the focus for a nearby subject and [77_ to adjust the focus for a distant
subject.
IRIS ...................................... Sharpens the subject with its background blurred or sharpens the whole
image.
Sh utter Speed ................. Adjusts Shutter Speed. When you shoot a moving subject at a higher
shutter speed, it appears as if frozen on the image. At a lower shutter
speed, the subject appears as if it is flowing.
AGC Limit ......................... Sets the maximum level of AGC (Auto Gain Control).
AE Shift .............................. Adjusts the exposure. Touch _ if the subject is white or the backlight
is bright, or touch _ if the subject is black or the light is dim.
White Balance Shift......Adjusts the white balance.
Low Lux ............................. Records bright color images in the dim.
_Camera Settings
Scene Selection ............. Selects an appropriate recording setting according to the type of scene,
such as night view or beach.
Cinematone ............. Adjusts the color of the movie to resemble the atmosphere of films when
recording.
_Z_ Fader .......................... Fades scenes in or out.
Self-Timer ................. Sets the self timer when your camcorder is in photo recording mode.
Tele Macro ........................ Focuses on the subject with its background blurred.
SteadyShot .............. Automatically corrects the camera shake correction when shooting with
zooming not only when shooting with wide angle.
SteadyShot .............. Sets the SteadyShot function when shooting photos.
Digital Zoom ................... Sets the maximum zoom level of the digital zoom.
Conversion Lens ............ Sets the type of an attached conversion lens (sold separately).
Auto Back Light .............. Adjusts the exposure for backlit subjects automatically.
Dial Setting ...................... Assigns a function to the MANUAL dial.
NIGHTSHOT Light .......... Emits infrared light when using NightShot.
