Remote control does n otwork
Many digital channels have a lternate channel numbers. The unit c hanges the
numbers automatically tothe ones s ignifying the broadcasting stations. These are
thenumbers used f oranalog broadcasts.
•Check theantenna orcable c onnection tothemain u nit.
•Check thebatteries oftheremote control.
•Check ifthere isanobstacle between theinfrared sensor window and theremote
control.
•Test the signal output. IfOK, then possible infrared sensor trouble.

•Aim theremote control directly attheinfrared sensor window o nthe front o fthe
unit.
Reduce thedistance totheunit.
Re-insert thebatteries withtheir p olarities (+/-signs) as indicated.
Problems with Closed Caption Feature
Misspelled captions are • Closed captioning production companies may broadcast programs without

• Wipethe front panel and other exteriorsurfacesof the unit with a soft
cloth immersedin lukewarmwater and wrung dry.
• Neverusea solvent or alcohol. Donot spray insecticideliquid near the
unit. Suchchemicalsmay causedamageand discoloration to the exposed
surfaces.
Wipe the panel of the unit with a soft cloth. Beforecleaningthe panel,
disconnectthe power cord.

digitalcamera (including a cellular phonewith built-incamera) t o seeif it
issendingoutan infraredsignal.

Tunethe AMradio station toa non-broadcasting
frequency. P oint the remote control t owardsit,
pushany buttonand listen. If the soundfrom
the radioflutters, it is receiving the remote 7 _" _

(including built-in cell
phonecameras):
Pointa digitalcamera towards the remotecontrol.
Push any buttononthe remotecontrol a ndlook
through the digitalcamera. If the infraredlight
