NOTE:To replacethe DriveBelt, you mustfirstfollow AugerBelt
instructions,Replacethe drivebelt beforereassemblingthe newauger
belt,
1, Removehairpinclipand pivotrod from unit, See Figure15,
2, Maneuvercontrolarmout and disconnectdrivecable,
3, Pull idler pulleyon right handsideout, releasingtensionon drive
belt, Removedrivebelt from idlerpulleyand transmissionpulley,

4, Rotatecontrolarm in orderto maneuver belt from unit, Remove
beltand replacewith new belt,
NOTE: Be sureto maintainpositionof the multi-speedpulley
assemblyso that the belt Iocatorpin in thetop position,
5, Reassemble in theexactoppositeorder,
6, After reassembly is completed,be sureto adiustthe auger cable,

Before operatingsnow thrower,checkthe oil levelbyfollowingsteps
below,
1, With engineon levelground,oil

Removeoil fill cap and dipstick,
ADD
3, Wipedipstickclean, insertit intooil
fill hole and tightensnugly,

4, Removedipstick and check,If oil is not up to the FULLmark on
dipstick,add oil
Changing

Changeengineoil after firsttwo hoursof operationand every 25 hours
thereafter,Inorder to changeoil,you will haveto firstdrain the used
engineoil fromthe engineand then refillwith fresh oil,
1, Drainoilwhileengineis warm,Remove oil drainpluglocated atthe bot-
tomof therecoil s tarterof theengine,Catchoil in a suitable container,
2, Whenengineis drainedof all oil, replacedrain plugsecurely,
3, Removethe dipstickfrom the oil fill, For locationof theoil fill, see
Figure7,Pourfresh oil slowlythroughtheplug, Replacedipstick,
4, Checkand makesurethat the levelof oil is up to the FULLmarkon
the dipstick,
NOTE:Althoughmulti-viscosity oils (5W30,10W30,etc,)improve
startingin cold weather,they couldalso resultin higheroil consump-
tionwhen usedabove320R Checkyoursnowthrower'sengineoil
levelmorefrequentlyto avoidpossibleenginedamagefrom running
lowon oil See the ViscosityChart in Figure17,
