INSTALLING BITS

Lookthe switch triggerby placingthe directionof
rotationselector in oenterposition. See Figure 3.
•
Open or close chuck jaws to a point where the
opening is slightlylarger than the bit size you
intend to use. Also, raise the front of your drill
slightlyto keep the bit from falling out of the chuck
jaws.
•
Insert drillbit into chuck the full length of the jaws
as shown in Figure 6.

Remove chuck key from storage. See Figure 4.
•
Using only the chuck key provided,tighten the
chuck jaws. Place chuck key in each of the three
holes and tighten in a clockwise direction.
•
Do not use a wrench to tighten or loosen the
chuck jaws.
•
Remove chuck key and return it to chuck key
storage.

WARNING: Do not insert drillbit intochuckjaws
and tightenas shownin figure 7. This couldcause
ddllbit to be thrownfrom drill resulting in possible
seriouspersonalinjuryor damage to the chuck.

Loosen the chuck jaws usingonly the chuck key
provided.

Do not use a wrenchto tighten or loosenthe
chuck jaws.

Remove drillbit from chuck jaws.

Remove chuck key and return it to chuck key
storage.
