and oil and use
only the correct

are no fuel leaks.

is not fouled
or damaged.

is on board.

anchor

lines are neatly coiled out
of the way.

OPERATING
CHECKS
1. Operator has carried out pre-operation checklist.
2. Check that a steady stream of water (A) is coming
out of the water pump indicator hose when the
motor is idling (Figure 11).
3. If motor is new, follow all break-in procedures.
4, Operate cautiously and get to know how your
boat handles before continued use.
5. Adjust motor angle if necessary.
PROPELLER
Your engine is equipped with a general duty pro-,
peller which should give you good all around op-
erating characteristics
on a typical
boat for this
size engine. Your propeller is correct for your ap-
plication if the motor runs within the recommend
operating range at full throttle (See page 4).
If
your motor RPM is too high or low, you should re-
prop your motor (See Page 6 Accessories)
for
your application.
