LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS
1. STOP! Read the safety information above on this
label.
2. Depress gas control knob slightly and turn

NOTE: Knob can not be turned from "PILOT" to "OFF"

4. Wait five (5) minutes to clear out any gas. Then
smell for gas, including near the floor. If you smell
gas, STOP! Follow "B" in the safety information
above on this label. If you don't smell gas, go to
the next step.
5. Locate pilot in the cut-out below the burner.
6. Locate piezo ignitor button on top of heater.
7. Turn gas control knob counterclockwise _ to
"PILOT".
8. Depress gas control knob and hold in. hnmediately
begin alternately pushing and releasing piezo
ignitor button, observing pilot, until pilot is lit.
Continue to hold the control knob in for about one
(1) minute after the pilot is lit. Release the gas
control knob and it will pop back up. Pilot should
remain lit. If pilot goes out, repeat steps 2 thru 7.
" If knob does not pop up when released, STOP and
immediately call your service technician or gas
supplier.
• If the pilot will not stay lit after several tries, mm the
gas control knob to "OFF" and call your service
technician or gas supplier.
9. Turn on all electric power to the appliance.
10. Turn gas control knob counterclockwise _ to
desired temperature setting.
TO TURN OFF GAS TO APPLIANCE
Depress gas control knob slightly and turn cloclcwise _ to "OFF".
Turn off atl electric power to the appliance if service is to be performed.
