Zooming in More CJoseJy on Subjects (Digitat Zoom)
The focal length of the lens can be increased by approx. 1.4x or approx. 2_3x_
This enables a faster shutter speed and less chance of camera shake than
the zoom (including digital zoom) used by itself at the same zoom factor. The
images may appear coarse, however, depending on the combination of
recording pixel (p. 74) and digita! tele=converter settings used.
Choose[Digitam Zoom].
Press the MENU button.
Press the 4 _ buttons to choose the
tab.
Press the ._'v" buttons or turn the _(!:ii:dia!

Aooept the se ng.
....................................................................................... Press the 4 _ buttons to choose a
magnification.
Pressing the MENU button will restore the
shooting screen.
The view wil! be enlarged and the zoom
factor wil! appear on the screen.
To return to standard digital zoom, choose
[Digital Zoom] and the [Standard] option.
Using this function at a recording pixel setting of L or M1 witl cause image
deterioration (the zoom factor wilI appear in blue).
