Live View Shooting
DispJayJng Live View image on the LCD Monitor
With the camera ready to shoot,
press <_5>.
_, The Live View image will appear on
the LCD monitor in real4ime with
100% field of view.
® With the video cable (provided)
connecting the camera to a TV set, you
can view images on the TV. (p.122)
@ During Live View image display, if you poiniihe camera in a diffeient direction; it
might threw off the correct brightness momentarily and the image might not !00 k
right. VVait until the image stabilizes at the correct br!ghtnes s before sh0oting.
if you shoot dhi[e the image brightness is not yet stable, the resulting image
m!ght be overexposed o: underexposed:
if the Jight Source Within the image changes, the sateen might flicker. !f this
happens, press <{_> to end the shooting, then with the new light source in
place press <_> again to resume shooting.
Setting the Shooting Functions
In the same way as during shooting through the viewfinder, you can set
the shooting functions (shooting mode, drive mode, memory card
selection, image size, ISO speed, Picture Style, white balance,
exposure compensation, AEB, AE lock, flash exposure compensation,
etc.) while looking at the toplrear LCD panel or LCD monitor.
_ Only the metering mode Cannot be Changed, Focusing frameqinked
evaluative metering with the image Sensor will take effect.
® Continuous shooting is possibl e,
@The metedng and A E !ock activated with the <-_> button wi!l remain
act!ve for16 sec.
To set the white balance, memory car d selection, or image size, press
the <FUNC> button and set it with the <O> or <_> dial:
® The focus preset feature on super telephoto lenses cannot be used.
