BAG HANDLE
Usedto grasp bagin orderto assistin attaching,removing,and
emptyingbag.See Figure10.

throughthe nozzleor hose.
BLOWER
CHUTE
Whenattachedto unit, the blowerchute isusedto dischargeyard
wastesuchas leaves,pineneedle,or small twigsacrossyard.
THROTTLE
CONTROL
Thethrottlecontrolsthe engine speedand stop function.Through
threeseparatepositionson the leverfrom left to right,the operationis
as follows:
Althoughmulti-viscosity oils (5W30, 10W30, e tc.) improvestarting
in coldweather,they will resultin increasedoil consumption when
usedabove32°E Checkyourengineoil levelmorefrequentlyto avoid
possibleenginedamagefrom runninglow on oil.
1.
Checkthe oil level makingcertain notto rub thedipstickalong the
insidewalls of the oil fill tube. This wouldresultin a false dipstick
reading.Refillto FULL markon dipstick,if necessary.Capacity
isapproximately18oz. Overfillingwill causethe engineto smoke
profuselyand will resultin poor engineperformance.

Replaceoil fill dipstickand tighten.
3.
Keepoil levelat FULL.Runningthe enginewith too little oil can
resultin permanent e nginedamage.
Useextremecarewhen handlinggasoline.Gasolineis extremely
flammableand thevaporsare explosive.Neverfuel machineindoors
or whilethe engineis hot or running.Extinguishcigarettes,cigars,
pipes,and other sourcesof ignition.

First Time Use
1.
Removeoil fill dipstick.
2.
With theYardVacuumon levelground,usea funnelto empty
entirecontentsof oil bottle providedintothe engine.
3.
Replaceoil fill dipstickand tighten.
Subsequent Uses
Onlyuse high qualitydetergentoil ratedwith APIserviceclassification
SF,SG,or SH. Selectthe oil'sSAE viscositygradeaccordingto the
expectedoperatingtemperature.Followthe chart below:

Removefuel capfrom the fueltank.
2.
Makesurethe containerfrom whichyou will pourthe gasolineis
cleanand free from rust or foreignparticles.Neverusegasoline
that may be stalefrom long periodsof storagein its container.
Gasolinethat has been sittingfor any periodlongerthan four
weeksshouldbe consideredstale.
3.
Fillfuel tank withclean, fresh,unleadedregulargasolineonly
to approximately1-1/2inches belowtopof neckto allowfor fuel
expansion.Do notuse gasolinecontainingMETHANOL.Replace
fuel cap.
Useof alcoholblendedfuels (calledgasoholor usingethanolor
methanol)canattract moisturewhich leadsto separationand forma-
tion of acids duringstorage.Acidic gascan damagethe fuelsystem
of an enginewhilein storage.
Toavoidengineproblems,thefuel systemshouldbe emptiedbefore
storagefor30 days or longer.Drainthe gas tank,start theengine
and let it run untilthe fuel linesand carburetorare empty.Usefresh
