The grates may be cleaned in a
dishwasher.

Burner Grates
Your range has three l)rofessional-s_le
double
grates. These
grates are posifion-
sl)ecific. For maMmum
stability
these grates
should
onl_ be used ill their i)roper
position;
they cannot
be interchanged
left
to right or fl'ont to back. For convenience,
the tmde_sicles
of the left and right grates
are marked
"I,EFT FRONT"
and "RIGHT
FRONT."
Make sure the fl'ont portion
of
both grates is in fl'ont. The middle
grate has
a bow in fl'ont. Make sm'e the bowed
portion
is towards
the fl'ont of the range.
Cleaning
i,ifl out when cool. (;rates
should
be
washed
regularly
and, of com'se, alter
spillovers.
_.V_sh them in hot, soapy water
and rinse with clean water When
replacing
the grates, be sm'e they are positioned
seem'ely over the burners.
Replace
the
grates so that COlltilltlOtlS }li'es

with the cenmr
ribs of all three
grates.
Do

grate. The finish on the grate may chip
without
cookware
to absorb
the heat.
To get rid ol burne&on

grates in a covered
containe_:
Add 1/4 cup
ammonia
and let them soak several hours
or overnight.
W_sh, rinse well and (hw.
Mthough
they are din'able,
the grates will
gradually
lose their shine,
regardless
ot the
best care you can give them.
This is due
to their continual
exposm'e
to high
temperatm'es.
You will notice
this
sooner
with lighter
color grates.
NOTE." Do not clean the grates in a self-cleaning
oven.
Cooktop Surface
To avoid damaging
the porcelain
enamel
sm'li_ce of the cooktop
and to prevent
it
from
becoming
dull, clean up spills right
away. Foods with a lot of acid (tomatoes,
sauerkraut,
ti'uitjuices,
etc.) or toods with
high sugar content
could cause a dull spot if
allowed
to set.
When
the sm'fi_ce has cooled,
wash and
rinse. For other
spills such as ti_t spattefings,
etc., wash with soap and water once the
sm'fi_ce has cooled.
Then
rinse and polish
with a (h_' cloth.

Stainless Steel Surfaces (onsome models)
Do not usea steel woolpad;it will scratch
thesurface.
To clean the stainless steel sm_i_ce,
use waml sudsy water or a stainless
steel
cleaner
or polish.
Mways wipe the smtace
in the direction
of the grain. Follow the
cleaner
instructions
