Thread-pulling knife height
The thread-pulling knife 1 is supposed to swing past the bobbin as
close as possible.
As standard the height of the thread-pulling knife is set through the
washers underneath the knife carrier 3 to a measure of 10.7±0.05
between the upper edge of the knife carrier 3 and the screw-on area of
the hook bearing.
Pay attention to the number of washers when dismantling the
thread-pulling knife!
Position of the thread-pulling knife
The thread-pulling knife 1 cannot be shifted on the knife carrier 3. This
allows exchanging the thread-pulling knife without having to reset the
cutting pressure.
The knife carrier 3 can be mounted in two different positions: for the
large and the extra large hook. In order to do so, turn the knife carrier 3
180° around (see the picture).
The swing range of the thread-pulling knife measures 35° and is
defined by the control cam's 4 geometry.
Control cam
The control cam is designed to operate with large and extra large
hooks.
GB
ATTENTION!
The control cam 4 and the clamping ring 5 serve mutually as stop and
should not be loosened at the same time.
