Troubleshooting Chart (continued)
Trouble
The voice terminal will not stop ringing.
One custom feature does not work, but
the others do.
The system does not automatically
select a free line when you lift the
handset.
The line with the flashing green light is
not automatically selected when the
handset is lifted.
Possible Cause
The T/P switch may be set to P
(Program).
The feature was not programmed
correctly.
The feature is not being used correctly.
All lines are busy.
The Automatic Line Selection feature
has not been programmed correctly.
The line is programmed for either
delayed ring or no ring.
Do This
• Slide the T/P switch to the center position.
• Reprogram the feature to the same button.
• Review the description of the feature's use
in the Guide: Models
User's
820 with Feature Package 2.
• Make the call later.
• Reprogram the Automatic Line Selection
sequence.
• Program the line to ring immediately.
