(USB Driver installation is not required for Windows OSs other than Windows 98SE / Windows Me.) Caution: B Use the computer on AC power (not battery) to avoid power-down during setup.

    Setup Your Computer Using DVD-RAMs in UDF 2.0 Format To read DVD-RAMs in UDF 2.0 format, a UDF reader compatible with UDF 2.0 format is required. Install the UDF Reader included on the CD-ROM supplied with this drive. Only UDF formatted DVD-RAMs that are removable from cartridges or non- cartridge type can be used with this drive.

    Setup Your Computer Installing UDF Reader The UDF Reader supplied with this drive is for Windows 98SE / Windows Me / Windows 2000. For Windows 2000, log in as a member of the users of Administrator group when installing. Caution: B Use the computer on AC power (not battery) to avoid power-down during setup.

    Using DVD-RAMs This drive is only compatible with non-cartridge type DVD-RAMs. To use TYPE2 or TYPE4 DVD-RAMs, remove the discs from cartridges. Caution: B Take care not to contaminate the recording surface with fingerprints, dirt, dust and scratches. Do not drop or bend discs, or adhere labels on the recording surface.

    Using Other Discs I CD-Rs Using B’s Recorder GOLD5 BASIC (see p.42), data CDs and Audio CDs can be created. (Writing to CD-R with B’s CLiP5 is not supported on this drive.)   • Page 40 Installing Video Playback Software Using WinDVD 4 Playback starts automatically after inserting a DVD-Video into the drive (when Auto Playback is ON). If not, from Task Bar, click [start], then select [All Programs] ➝ [InterVideo WinDVD 4] ➝ [InterVideo WinDVD 4]. WinDVD 4 operating panel can be used for operation just like that of a home video recorder.

BAC adaptor auto protect function may be working. – Disconnect AC adaptor and connect it again after few minutes. Check that the computer is set up.
