Command Password
If you change the Command password while the fabric is not stable (fabric
reconfiguration), the new password may be stored locally on the primary switch
but not on other switches in the fabric. The result is an inconsistent view.
The reason this situation occurs is that the Command password saves the
password locally before distributing it to the fabric in Secure mode. If the fabric
reconfiguration or the password distribution fails, you will see either an error
message on the Telnet window or an error message in the Error Log. (Please note
that the old password will still be available.)
To recover from this behavior, reissue the same command on the current primary
to change the password again. If the primary switch goes away, the next switch in
the FCS list becomes the primary switch, and the password change command can
still be issued from the new primary.
Integer Overflow in Sun RPC XDR
A CERT Advisory CA-2003-10 Integer overflow in Sun RPC XDR could occur.
(Please note that the RPC lib is used by API.)
For more information, please refer to the CERT advisory.
Extended Fabric Tab Refresh
You may encounter a situation in which the Extended Fabric tab cannot be
refreshed after long distance configuration changes. When this situation occurs,
the port speed becomes Auto.
To fix this problem, disable the faulty port from the Port Setting Panel. If the port
speed is set to Auto while the port state is not set to Port_Flt, enable the port
whose speed is set to Auto and apply. Then, continue with other operations.
Integer Overflow in xdr_array() Function
A CERT Advisory CAN-2002-0391 — Integer overflow in the xdr_array()
function could occur when deserializing the XDR.
For more information, please refer to the CERT advisory.
