On: A still image will be held on the screen until the
camera has moved to the preset position.
Off: Images from the camera will be displayed even
when the camera is moving to the preset position.
Default: Off
[Upside-down]

Select "On (desktop)" or "Off (ceiling)" to determine
how the camera is to be installed.
On (desktop): Select this when the camera is to be
installed with the dome side up.
Off (ceiling): Select this when the camera is to be
installed with the dome side down.
Default: Off (ceiling)
[Extra optical zoom]
Select the extra optical zoom setting from the following.
On (Max X36): Images can be zoomed in on with the
optical zoom (1x - 18x) and the extra optical zoom
(higher zoom factors, up to 36x).
Off (Max X18): Does not use the extra optical zoom.
Default: On (Max X36)
About extra optical zoom
Among approx. 1.3 megapixel image capture area
of the MOS image sensor, the central part of
approx. 0.31 megapixels is extracted for shooting.
That enables the shooting with a higher zooming
effect. When the image capture size under "VGA" is
applied, the zoom factor can be adjusted up to 36x.
[Digital zoom]
Select the digital zoom setting from the following.
On (Max X288)
: Images can be zoomed in on

with the optical zoom (1x - 18x) , extra optical zoom
(up to 36x) and the electronic zoom (higher zoom
factors, up to 288x).
On (Max X432)

zoomed in on with the optical zoom (1x - 18x), extra
optical zoom (up to 36x) and the electronic zoom
(higher zoom factors, up to 432x).
Off: Does not use the digital zoom.
Default: Off
Note:
• When "On (Max X288)"
is selected, digital zooming will

stop when the zoom factor has reached 36x.
• When the zoom factor is 36x or more, the setting of
the preset positions will become unavailable.

[Pan·Tilt degree/Zoom ratio display]
Select "On" or "Off" to determine whether or not to dis-
play the current panning/tilting degree and the zoom
factor on images when the camera is being operated
manually.
On: Displays the current panning/tilting degree and the
zoom factor.
Off: Does not display the current panning/tilting degree
and the zoom factor.
Default: On
Note:
• When "On" is selected, the panning/tilting degree
and the zoom factor will be displayed at the position
selected for "OSD Position" on the [Basic] tab of the
"Basic setup" page. (☞ Page 31)
[Tilt Angle]
Select the maximum degree for tilting from the follow-
ing.
(Level = 0°)
10°/ 5°/ 3°/ 0°/ –3°/ –5°/ –10°/ –15°/ –20°/ –25°/ –30°
Default: 0°
Note:
• When using an inner cover (WV-Q157 or an acces-
sory of optional mount bracket), upper side of
images will be hidden (become black) when the tilt
angle of the camera is almost level. (When "–5°" is
selected for "Tilt Angle" on the setup menu, upper
half of images will be hidden.) In this case, images
will also be washed out depending on the object
when "On" is selected for "AGC" on the setup menu
(☞ page 60).
SC384
If "−20°", "−25°" or "−30°" is selected, the area hid-
den by the camera housing may increase when the
tilt angle of the camera is almost level.
[Pan/tilt-flip]
Select the pan/tilt-flip setting from the following.
On: When the camera reaches the panning or tilting
end during manual operation, the camera pans or
tilts at high speed to the reverse direction. In this
way, it is possible to control the camera without
having to stop panning/tilting and displaying images
in proper orientation.
Off: Pan/tilt-flip does not work.
Default: On
