Operating the RM-88

1. Preparing to announce
- Connect a Remote Mic Station to the REMOTE MIC IN CONTROL connector located on the rear of the PX-
0288.
- Assign the appropriate address and Chime settings with the DIP switches on the rear of the RM-88.
- Select an output zone from Remote Mic Station and press the "TALK" BUTTON. The selected zone(s) will
show the letter "R" in the display and receive pre-announce Chime if it has been programmed to do so. The
system is now ready to receive an announcement from the remote mic providing that the "BUSY" is not
illuminated by another RM-88.
- Adjust the level with the gain control knob on the rear of the RM-88
- When the announcement is completed, depress the "TALK" button again and the system will be restored to
the previous settings and available to another RM-88.
Operating the LM-88/PS-88
1. Address and Pre-Announce Chime Setup
- Assign the appropriate address and chime using the DIP switches on the rear of the LM-88/PS-88.
2. Audio Source Selection
- Set the Remote Control Switch (on the PX-0288) to the "Enable" position for the corresponding zone.
- Select the desired input from the 8 Local audio sources (connected to the PX-0288) using the Input Selection
Switch on the LM-88/PS-88.
- Adjust the volume of the zone using the gain control knob on the LM-88/PS-88.
- Use of remote sources (sources connected to the remote) will take priority over the local sources (sources
connected to the PX-0288) causing the local sources to be muted.
