Installing Drivers and the TV Software Utility
After the card is installed properly, turn on the computer. The system will automatically detect the new device. In
Windows 2000, you need to use the Wizard to install the drivers. However, in Windows XP/98SE/ME, simply
skip the Wizard, and insert the accompanying installation CD to install the drivers and TV software utility
simultaneously.
Installing Drivers and the Application in Windows XP
1. The "Found New Hardware Wizard" dialog box will appear. Just click Cancel to skip the Wizard
installation procedures.
2. Place the installation CD into the CD-ROM drive.
3. When the installation main screen appears, choose TV Utility Software.
4. When the dialog box about license agreement appears, click Yes to accept the agreement.
5. Click Next.
6. Click Next.
7. If a warning message about digital signature appears twice, click Continue Anyway.
8. If your system doesn't have DirectX 9.0 or above installed, the program will prompt you to install DirectX 9.0.
The "Installing Mircosoft(R) DirectX (R)" dialog box will appear. Follow these steps to install DirectX:
- Choose "I accept the agreement" and click Next.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish.
9. Click Finish to restart the computer. Then both of the drivers and TV software utility are successfully
installed into the system.
Installing Drivers in Windows 2000
1. The "Found New Hardware Wizard" dialog box appears. Click Next.
2. Place the installation CD into the CD-ROM drive, and click Exit when the main screen appears.
3. Select "Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended)" and click Next.
4. Select "CD-ROM drives" and click Next.
5. The wizard identifies the suitable driver. Then click Next.
6. If the "Digital Signature Not Found" dialog box appears, click Yes to continue.
7. Click Finish to complete the installation of WDM Video Capture driver.
8. The installation of WDM TV Tuner driver will continue and the on-screen instructions that will appear are
identical to those of WDM Video Capture driver. Repeat steps 1 to 7 to complete the driver's installation.
Installing Drivers and the Application in Windows 98SE
1. The "Add New Hardware Wizard" dialog box will appear. Just click Cancel to skip the Wizard installation
procedures.
2. Place the installation CD into the CD-ROM drive.
3. When the installation main screen appears, choose TV Utility Software.
4. When the dialog box about license agreement appears, click Yes to accept the agreement.
5. Click Next.
6. Click Next.
7. If your system doesn't have DirectX 9.0 or above installed, the program will prompt you to install DirectX 9.0.
The "Installing Mircosoft(R) DirectX (R)" dialog box will appear. Follow these steps to install DirectX:
- Choose "I accept the agreement" and click Next.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish.
8. Click Finish to restart the computer.
