Closed defect summary
CALD-allocated shared memory may not be released, causing the
switch to run out of shared memory, leading to high CPU load and
inability to run CLI commands.
SNMP panic/restart due to segmentation fault caused by out-of-memory
condition. This was due to an FSPF timeout with a neighbor switch
during out-of-memory recovery.
A switch panic occurs due to a CALD memory leak, leading to an out-
of-memory condition while running management applications.
A class 2 ACK is not forwarded from the F_Port to the N_Port in Access
Gateway mode, causing the name server to abort the exchange.
After a power cycle, the HP StorageWorks 8/40 SAN switch may get
an error message indicating that the Fan/PS is not supplying power
and the fan speeds are not available.
Solution
Workaround prior to upgrade: Run
hafailover.
