Configuring iSCSI Virtual Targets
This chapter explains how to create iSCSI virtual targets (VTs), discovery domains (DDs), discovery
domain sets (DDSets), and how to configure iSCSI VT-iSCSI initiator authentication.

Changing and displaying the IQN Prefix
Unique iSCSI Qualified Names (IQNs) are used to identify each iSCSI VT. The format for the IQN is
type.date.naming authority:<
fixed prefix. The default prefix is
using the iscsiswcfg - -modifygw -t <tgtname> command. The prefix portion may be used to identify
companies or organizations (e.g., Brocade, Microsoft, etc.). Your organization may suggest or
require a specific format for the prefix portion of the IQN.
To change the IQN prefix
1. Connect and log in to the switch.
2. Enter the iscsiswCfg - -modifygw -t <tgtname> command, where <tgtname> is the value you
