configure
Changes system configuration settings.
Synopsis
configure
Description
Use this command to change the following system configuration settings for the switch:
"Switch Fabric Settings"
"Virtual Channel Settings"
"F_Port Login Parameters"
"Zoning Operation Parameters"
"RSCN Transmission Mode"
"Arbitrated Loop Parameters"
"System Services Settings"
"Portlog Events Enable/Disable Settings"
"Application Attributes"
Note
If executed on an enabled switch, only the application attribute can be configured. To access all
parameters controlled by this command, you must disable the switch using the switchDisable command.
Note
The execution of this command is subject to Admin Domain restrictions that may be in place.
The
configure
menu and its associated submenus consist of a text prompt, a list of acceptable values, and a default value
(in brackets).
Use the following options to control input:
Return
Interrupt (Ctrl-C)
End-of-file (Ctrl-D) When entered at a prompt with no preceding input, terminates the command and
Switch Fabric Settings
There are several settings that control the overall behavior and operation of the fabric. Some of these,
such as the domain, are assigned automatically by the fabric and might differ from one switch to another
in the fabric. Other parameters, such as the BB credit or the time-out values, can be changed for specific
applications or operating environments but must be in agreement among all switches to allow formation
of the fabric.
