: Carefully read this user guide before using the paper shredder.
Warnings
• Keep your fingers away from the feed slot, or they could be
seriously injured.
• Never run the shredder continuously for more than 3 minutes or

• Keep the shredder out of reach of children and pets.
• Keep jewelry, long hair, and loose clothing (especially sleeves and
neckties) away from the feed slot. If anything unintentionally gets
caught in the feed slot, immediately cut off power.
• Crosscut shredders have very sharp, exposed blades on the
underside, so be careful when mounting the shredder on the
waste basket.
• Fire danger: Never dispose of flammable chemicals (for example,
nail polish, acetone, or gasoline) or materials that have come into
contact with flammable chemicals (such as cleaning rags) in the
waste basket.
• Always turn off the shredder and unplug the power cord before
cleaning or moving the shredder, or emptying the waste basket.
• Never place the shredder near water, moisture, or any heat source.
• Keep the waste basket emptied so that the shredder output is not
blocked.
• Never use any petroleum-based or flammable oils or lubricants in
or around the shredder, because these substances can combust,
causing serious injury. Never spray any aerosol-based products in
or around the shredder.
• Never shred envelopes, labels, or anything with glue or sticky
substances, or paper jams can result.
• Do not use the shredder if the power cord is damaged in any way.
• Do not try to service this product yourself. Doing so may expose
you to sharp cutting blades and electrical shock, and will void the
manufacturer's warranty.
• Never let the waste basket become full, or the shredder output
will be blocked, and material will be pulled back up into the
shredder, causing jams.
• Never shred wet paper.
• Never try to clean or clear the shredder blades.
• Use the REV mode sparingly, because overuse may cause shreds of
paper to build up in the feed slot and reduce shredding
performance.
