Warning: Do not hold the device near your ear when the loudspeaker is in use,
because the volume may be extremely loud.

■ Keypad lock (keyguard)

To prevent the keys from being accidentally pressed, press the left selection key
and * within 1.5 seconds to lock the keypad.
To unlock the keypad, select Unlock, and press * within 1.5 seconds.
When the keypad lock is on, calls may be possible to the official emergency number
programmed into your device.

■ Flashlight

To switch the flashlight on or off, in the standby mode, press and hold *.

3. Call functions

■ Make a call

1. In the standby mode, enter the phone number, including the area code. Press
the clear key to remove a number.
For international calls, press * twice for the international prefix (the +
character replaces the international access code), and enter the country code,
area code (omit the leading zero if necessary), and phone number.
2. To call the number, press the call key.
To adjust the volume during the call, press the volume keys.
3. To end the call, or to cancel the call attempt, press the end key.
When security features that restrict calls are in use (such as call barring, closed user group,
and fixed dialing), calls may be possible to the official emergency number programmed into
your device.
To make a call from Contacts, select Menu > Contacts. Scroll to the desired name,
or enter the first letters of the name, and scroll to the desired name. To call the
number, press the call key.
To call your voice mailbox (network service), press and hold 1 in the standby mode.
You must define the voice mailbox number before you can call your voice mailbox.
