Quick Links

Thank you for purchasing the Minoura "HyperBrain".
This is an optional item for our RDA InterRim Ergo, HyperMag or HyperRim indoor bicycle trainer, and this will make your workout
much more enjoyable and effective. HyperBrain will show verious data while you are riding on the trainer.
Follow these steps for installing and using HyperBrain.
Peel off the silver sticker cover on the Flywheel Cover.
1
Install the Speed Sensor into the hole and tighten it with the supplied Knob Bolt. (see Fig.A)
If your HyperMag or HyperRim trainer is the remote control model (Type-R) and
2
was made prior to 2000, you can set-up the HyperBrain together with the Remote
Shifter via the Support Stay. (see Fig. B)
The Support Stay will be attached with the supplied M4 Bolt (larger one).
(see Fig. C)
If your model is the dial control one (Type-D) or later than 2001 model, use the
supplied plastic Handlebar Mount instead of the Support Stay. (see Fig. D)
To use the Support Stay, slide the Plate Nut into the slit on the backside
3
of the Base, put the stay on it and tighten with the supplied M3 Bolt
(smaller one). (see Fig. C)
At this time, make sure the projection on the stay is on the Release
Lever side.
Then slide the Main Unit into the Base until it clicks into place.
To use the plastic Handlebar Mount, remove the bolt and the
4
vinyl cap then coil the band around your handlebar or some-
where with the same diameter. This band will fit a 22.2mm
diameter.
Put the supplied rubber pad between the band and the handle-
bar if you need.
Tighten the bolt firmly and simply slide the Main Unit into the
Base until click.
In this case, you don't need to use the Plate Nut.
To avoid damaging the signal wire with the spinning crank, we recommend you to wrap both the
!
remote shifter cable and the signal wire with the supplied Spiral Tubes as shown in Fig.E.
When the HyperBrain is not in use, we recommend you should plug the hole on the Flywheel Cover
!
with a seal or a vinyl tape to prevent a noise caused by the spinning flywheel.
