Thread draw cutter height
The thread draw cutter height is set at the factory by adjustment
washers under the cutter support 1 (see figure).
When removing the thread cutter make a note of the number of
adjustment discs.
Position of the thread draw cutter
The thread draw cutter 2 cannot be moved on the blade support 1.
This ensures that the thread draw cutter 2 can be replaced without
the cutting pressure having to be adjusted once more.
When the thread draw cutter 2 is in the idle position the counter
cutter 4 blade must be completely covered by the thread draw cutter
to avoid damage to the upper thread.
The swing range of the thread draw cutter is 23° and is determined in
the radial cam geometry.
Note!
Ensure that the radial cam 5 touches the adjustment ring 6 at the stop
and that the radial cam label 5 is legible. If the radial cam label 5 label
is upside down, the radial cam was installed the wrong way around.
