Adding an Alias action
("Alias" dialog box)
You can add an Alias action to the Action list of a Component key, function key, function button, component list element or Zapping element. The Alias action
allow s you to program for the key or function button you are editing the same action as w hen other keys or function buttons are pressed.
After the "Alias" dialog box appears, perform the follow ing steps to set the key or function button you w ant to refer to.
To program the operation (action) performed w hen other keys are pressed as an Alias action
To program the operation (action) performed w hen function buttons on the Remote Commander are pressed as an Alias action
To program the operation (action) performed when other keys are pressed as an Alias action
1.
Click the "Ke y on the LCD" tab.

Click
of "Page ," the n s e le ct the page that includes the k e y you w ant to re fe r to.
The keys of the selected page are displayed below the drop-dow n list.
Click the k e y you w ant to re fe r to.
3.
The action programmed for the key (you w ant to refer to) is displayed in "Alias action" in the low er right of the dialog box.
Note
You cannot select the action programmed for a Zapping view er or the LIST key as a key you w ant to refer to.
4.
Click "OK."
The "Alias" dialog box closes, and the Alias action for the key (selected in step 3) is added to the Acton list.

You cannot program an Alias action that w ill cause an "alias loop." For further details, see
To program the operation (action) performed when function buttons on the Remote Commander are pressed as an Alias action
1.
Click "Hard k e y" tab.
Click
of "Com pone nt," the n s e le ct the com pone nt that include s the button you w ant to re fe r to.
2.
The function buttons on the Remote Commander are displayed below the drop-dow n list.
3.
Click the button you w ant to re fe r to.
The action programmed for the button (you w ant to refer to) is displayed in "Alias action" in the low er right of the dialog box.
Note
You cannot select the function button for w hich a Zapping action is programmed as a button you w ant to refer to.
Click "OK."
4.
The "Alias" dialog box closes, and the Alias action for the function button (selected in step 3) is added to the Acton list.
