Scale Tester

Another basic concept in music theory is the scale. You may already have had a little
exposure to scales in the Single Note Copycat game, but this game really gives you the
chance to play scales directly.
The Mark 12 will display the name of a scale. You should play it back in the key speci-
fied. If you need help, you can press LISTEN TO IT and hear how it should sound. For
more help, use the Hints parameter.
When you've played back the required number of scales, you've won the game and will
hear applause.

SCALE TESTER PARAMETERS

Key (Default: C): Determines the key on which to base the scale.
Level (Default: Basic): Determines the type of scales you'll hear and play.
Length (Default: 6): The number of scales you have to play correctly in order to win the
game.
Up and down (Default: Off): Determines whether you'll hear scales played upwards or
both up and down.
Hints (Default: Off): Determines whether or not you'll see note name hints in the display
to help you play the scale correctly.
Tempo (Default: 160): The speed at which the scales will play. Measured in beats per
minute.
