This section lists all the instruments connected to the system, grouping
them together according to the communication line they belong to. It
allows to set all the parameters of all the instruments, in order to correctly
represent the real system in the software. Even after an automatic
configuration, the operator can add or delete an instrument using the
proper buttons.
The software can automatically scan the installed communication lines to
detect all the connected instruments by pressing the "Automatic" button.
When a new instrument is found by the automatic procedure, a default
name is automatically assigned: the name is the Modbus address followed
by "-" and by the communication line name. To set or modify the
instrument characteristics, the "Meter detail" box is to be used.

In the "Meter detail" box, all the parameters relevant to the selected
instrument are listed. Some parameters, like the instrument name, have a
