  • Page 6 3.4 Download the Diagnostic Software You will need to download the vehicle-specific software the first time you use the diagnos- tic function. Tap Diagnostics > Model Selection from the home screen and download the software you need.
  • Page 7 3.5 Plug the DriverScan into the Vehicle's DLC Note: This app is compatible with iOS 9.0 or later / Android 5.0 or later. Insert the DriverScan into the vehicle's OBD-II port. A picture of DLC location for the selected vehicle will display.
  • Page 8 Using the DriverScan via the App 4.1 Home Screen 1. Diagnostics Configures the DriverScan to operate as a scan tool. 2. Common functions OBD Function: Monitor the vehicle's emissions and diagnose potential faults within the vehicle's systems. I/M Readiness: Provides quick access to check the status of the emission-related sys- tems.
  • Page 9 Mall: Allows you to purchase or renew diagnostic software license. Messages: Selecting this icon opens the message screen. Me: Selecting this icon opens the Me screen, which allows you to view the account profile, saved data files, and Tutorials, manage the installed software and connections to Device (DricerScan), look up vehicle coverage, check for firmware updates, diagnostic feedback, and access general settings.

  • Page 11 4.2.2 Auto Scan 1. Click "Auto Search" and the system will automatically connect to DriverScan. Driver- Scan will automatically decode the VIN to identify the vehicle. If the diagnostic software for the corresponding vehicle has not been downloaded, the system will automatically down- load it.
  • Page 12 After scanning, you can obtain the fault codes and the number of fault codes in each system. You can obtain the car health diagnosis report and generate a PDF format report; You can also click on "Clear DTCs" to clear fault codes.
  • Page 13 Click "System Scan" to automatically scan the vehicle system and check if the vehicle is equipped with a certain system. "Equipped" indicates that it is already installed. 3. Click on "System Selection" to enter the list of existing systems in the vehicle. After selecting a system, you can view "Advanced Version Information", "Module Information", "Read DTC", "Clear Fault Code", "Read Data Stream", and "Actuation Test".

  • Page 15 Read DTC This function displays the DTCs retrieved from the emission-related systems. After obtaining the list of fault codes, if encountering an unknown fault code, you can search for that fault code. Click "Report" to generate a fault code report. Clear Fault Code This function allows you to clear the DTCs retrieved from the emission-related systems.
  • Page 16 Read Data Stream After checking and selecting each system, you can view the corresponding data flow. Click "Combination" to select different data and view corresponding data charts (up to 4 can be selected)
  • Page 17 Clicking on "Report" can generate report charts and PDF format reports. Click "Record" to record the data into a video as a record. Actuation Test Control and test the vehicle's actuators to verify their proper operation.
  • Page 18 4.3 OBD FUNCTION This Function "OBD functions" refers to the comprehensive set of capabilities provided by an On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) system in a vehicle. The main roles of an OBD system are to monitor the vehicle's emissions and diagnose potential faults within the vehicle's systems.
  • Page 19 Note: The vehicle should only be considered ready for inspection and allowed to pass emissions if all required tests have been passed. 4.5 Vehicle Performance Test Vehicle Performance Test allows you to make accurate measurements of vehicle accelera- tion, providing results at intervals defined by set speed and fixed distance measurements. 4.5.1 Performing a Vehicle Performance Test 1.

Tap the desired record to view its full content. 400 Test Results - record the elapsed time for a vehicle to travel a certain distance, and the instantaneous speed at each point. 0-100km/h Test Results - record the elapsed time for a vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometre per hour.
  • Page 22 4.7 Maintenance The DriverScan supports 15 special functions, including Oil Reset (Oil), Brake Reset (Brake), EGR Adaption (EGR), Air Level Calibration (SUS), Steering Angle Reset (SAS), Battery Management System (BMS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) Bleeding, Throttle Adaptation (ETS), Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Regeneration, Injector Coding (Injector), Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Reset, Sunroof Initialization(SUN), Immobilizer Reset, Adaptive Front Lighting (AFS), Gearbox Relearn (BOX).
  • Page 23 EGR——EGR Adaption This function can adjust parameters to activate the exhaust gas reprocessing system. SUS——Air Level Calibration This function can adjust the height of the vehicle body. When replacing the body height sensor or control module in the air suspension system, or when there is an error in the car's levelness, this function needs to be performed to adjust the body height sensor for horizontal calibration.

AFS——Adaptive Front Lighting This function can initialize the adaptive headlight system. The adaptive headlight system can automatically turn on the headlights based on the intensity of ambient light, monitor the vehicle's driving speed, body posture, etc., and adjust the lighting angle of the head- lights in a timely manner.
  • Page 25 4.8.7 Download Management Allows you to uninstall the vehicle-specific Diagnostics. 4.8.8 Diagnostic Feedback The DriverScan allows you to instantly send diagnostic feedback (with logs of diagnostic data automatically attached) while you are encountering a software problem with the diag- nostics operations.

Q: Why do I need to download the diagnostic software after installing the Mucar APP? A: Since there are various vehicle manufacturers, different diagnostic software is required for different brands.
  • Page 27 Q: Do I need to update the firmware before using it for the first time? A: Yes. Firmware will automatically update to the latest version once the DriverScan is connected with your phone via Bluetooth. You can also tap Me > Firmware to update the firmware manually.
