Description
Specifies that the ldif utility should interpret the entire input as a single
binary value. If -b is not present, each line is considered to be a separate input
value.
As an alternative to the -b option, you can you can use the :< URL specifier
notation, which is in fact simpler to use. For example:
jpegphoto:< file:///tmp/myphoto.jpg
Although the official notation requires three ///, the use of one / is tolerated.
tool analyzes and extracts information from a Directory Server
extensions in their filename, depending on the version of Directory Server.
Parameter
Description
filename
Specifies the name of the database file, the contents of which
is to be analyzed and extracted.
Specifies that the output is to be generated as an index file.
Specifies that the output is to be generated as an entry
(id2entry) file.
Specifies that the output is to be dumped as a changelog file.
size
Specifies the maximum length for the dumped ID list; the
default length is 4096.
