Make sure that it is always kept clean and not covered by leaves, snow, etc., and test it regularly to make sure it is functioning properly. Clean the sensor with a dry cloth. Never clean it by spraying water or using high pressure cleaning methods.

Open the Sunis WireFree™ io: Turn the sensor on its wall bracket (anti- clockwise until the arrows on the sides are aligned, then separate the two sections. Fit the 2 batteries provided, making sure they are correctly positioned according to the polarity.
