ASSEMBLING THE STEPS 1. Lay one of the side panels down on a flat, level surface. 2. Each step has a groove where the riser will fit. With the treads facing up, position each step so that the riser groove is toward the straight side of the side panel. To attach the step, align the dowels on the step with the corresponding holes on the side panel. -

SECURING THE SIDE PANELS 1. To secure the side panel, center a locking cap over the ends of the dowels on the outside of the panel. Using a rubber mallet or hammer and a small block of wood, tap on each cap until it is flush with the panel. -

INSTALLING THE SHORT HANDRAIL POSTS 1. To install the short handrail posts, identify the marking that indicates the top. Insert each post into the holes on the second step. A line on the bottom shows how far each handrail should be inserted. Do NOT install the long handrail NOTE posts at this time. -

INSTALLING THE LONG HANDRAIL POSTS 1. To install the long handrail posts, identify the marking that indicates the top. Insert each post into the openings in the side panels. ATTACHING THE HANDRAILS If the bridge and gate from the Easy Pool Step Entry System (NE138) are NOTE being installed, only install the handrails on the in-pool step assembly at this time. 1. To finish assembling the step, insert each handrail into the short and long handrail posts with the curved end attaching to the long post. -
