On Windows, the following options are available for the bcadm --follow command. The long and short formats
for each option are given.
--test-mail, -tm
Sends a test e-mail message. Requires both the --mail-address and --from-user flags.
--mail-address <to_email_address>, -ma <to_email_address>
Specifies the e-mail address to notify when a failure occurs. Also used with --test-mail to send a test e-mail.
--mail-server <email_server>, -ms <email_server>
Specifies which e-mail server to send e-mail through.
--from_user <from_email_address>, -fu <from_email_address>
Specifies the sender's e-mail address for the e-mail notification. Used with
--mail-address when sending e-mail alerts and --test-mail for sending a test e-mail. An example subject line
is "< your_system_name > - bcadm Event Message."
--program, <program>, -p <program>
Specifies the program to execute when an event occurs, such as calling a pager or displaying a pop-up
message.
--delay <seconds>, -d <seconds>
Specifies the number of seconds to wait between polling the disks and arrays.
--scan, -s
Uses variables found in bcadm.cfg instead of command line arguments. The file bcadm.cfg must be in the
same directory as bcadm.exe. Useful if you want to monitor RAID subsystems automatically, such as at start-
up.
