Connecting the management console to a server

When you open the management console, you use the log-on screen to connect as an
administrator to the server that is running the applications you want to manage.
The login screen of the management console lets you connect to a server.
To connect to a server:
1.
In Windows, from the Windows Start menu, select Programs > Macromedia > Flash Media
Server > Console. In Linux, open the fmsconsole.swf file in a web browser on a computer
where Flash Player is installed.
2.
Type the name of the server into the Server Name text field or use the pop-up menu to
select the name of any server that is connected successfully. (The server name is an identifier
for your own use so you can name a server any name you want.)
Type the server URL in the Server Address text field, or type localhost if the server and the
3.
management console are running on the same computer.
If your server is installed on a port other than 1111 (the default), you must enter the port
number as well, for example localhost:1234.
4.
Enter your administrator user name and password.
5.
To save your username and password across sessions, select Remember my password.
