Disk backup and restore
Create a disk backup job
This is the same process as the tape backup described in Tutorial 2. The difference is that the Virtual
Library, just configured, is the target device for the backup.
1. Run HP Data Protector Express Software and log in.
2. Select Wizards in the Favorites desk bar and double-click Backup in the Detail Area.
3. Double-click Backup Specific in the Detail Area.
4. At the Welcome prompt, give the backup job a name, such as "My First Disk Backup" and click Next.
5. Now you are ready to select folders and files for backup.
If necessary, open Folders in the Detail Area (by clicking on the Folders icon in the Toolbar) and
navigate down the network, machine, and file system to locate the folders and files that you wish to
back up, for example the Important Files folder.
