Navigating HP Data Protector Express Software
Quick Access Control (Windows only)
The Quick Access Control application is automatically installed on Windows systems when you select the
Quick or Recommended installation, and it is selected by default in a Custom installation. This
application provides simplified access to the primary features of HP Data Protector Express Software.
After installation, you will notice a Quick Access Control icon in the Windows System Tray (normally in
the bottom right-hand corner of the screen).
When you mouse over the Quick Access Control icon, a tool tip is displayed that contains further
information.
The appearance of the Quick Access Control icon changes to indicate the state of HP Data Protector
Express Software, thus providing continuous feedback. Right-clicking on the icon displays a menu that
provides quick access to HP Data Protector Express Software functions. See Tutorial 4: Using Quick
Access Control for further details.
