Working with detected systems

Importing systems to the Exceptions list

Use this task to import systems to your network's Exceptions list.
Task
For option definitions, click ? on the page displaying the options.

Go to Network | Detected Systems and click Import/Export Exceptions, then click
the Import tab.

Choose the method you want to use to import and specify the systems or file, then click
Import.
NOTE:
When importing systems by name, MAC addresses can be separated by whitespace,
commas, or semicolons. The MAC address can include colons, but they are not required.

Merging detected systems

Use this task to merge detected systems.
Task
For option definitions, click ? on the page displaying the options.

From the Detected Systems page, select the detected systems (or system interfaces)
you want to merge.

Click Merge Systems. The Merge Systems page appears.

Click Merge.

Removing systems from the Detected Systems list

Use this task to remove systems from the Detected Systems. For example, you might want
to remove systems from the Detected Systems list when you know it is no longer in service.
Once a system has been removed, it will not appear in the Detected Systems list until the next
time the Rogue System Sensor detects it, or you manually add it back to the list.
This task can be performed from:
Detected Systems Details page.
Detected Systems page.
Managed Systems for Subnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx page.
Systems Details page.
Systems page.

Getting there
Go to Network | Detected Systems, click any detected
system category in the Overall System Status monitor,
and click any system.
Go to Network | Detected Systems and click any
detected system category in the Overall System Status
monitor.
Go to Network | Detected Systems, click any subnet
category in the Subnet Status monitor, then select any
subnet and click View Managed Systems.
Go to Systems | System Tree | Systems and click any
system.
Go to Systems | System Tree.
