In-dash installation kit for 2004-up chevrolet; 2005-up pontiac 2006-up saturn

RADIO REMOVAL
2006 CHEVROLET HHR
1. Using a panel removal tool, remove panel surrounding window
controls in center console.
2. Extract (2) 7mm screws from behind window control panel.
3. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap trim bezel that surrounds the shifter.
4. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap the rest of the lower console
surrounding shifter.
5. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap dash bezel that surrounds the factory
and HVAC controls. Lift away, disconnect, and remove.
6. Extract (8) 7mm screws securing HVAC controls and factory radio. Lift away,
disconnect, and remove.
KIT MODIFICATION:
1. Cut along notches to remove the shaded part on kit, for panel to fit for this application.
2006-UP SATURN ION
1. Using a panel removal tool, remove the trim around the shifter.
2. Using a panel removal tool, remove the top panel of the center console that
surrounds the shifter and cup holders.
3. Using a panel removal tool, remove the front dash panel that surrounds
the radio and top A/C vents. Disconnect and remove. (WARNING: DON'T
TURN ON THE IGNITION WITH THE PASSANGER AIRBAG LIGHT
PLUG DISCONNECTED. THIS WILL FLAG AN AIRBAG LIGHT CODE).
4. Extract (4) 9/32" bolts securing the radio to the dash. Disconnect and remove.
KIT MODIFICATION:
1. Cut along notches to remove the shaded part on kit, for panel to fit for this application.
(USE ILLUSTRATION "B" AND "C".)
2006 PONTIAC SOLSTICE
1. Using a panel removal tool, pry, unsnap and remove the cover plate from behind the center console handle located on the
right side of the console.
2. Extract (2) 10mm bolts securing the handle.
3. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap the dash bezel surrounding the radio.
4. Lift away, disconnect and remove dash bezel.
5. Remove (4) screws securing the factory radio to the dash, lift away, disconnect and remove.
2005-UP CHEVROLET COBALT
1. Open glove box. Using a panel removal tool, carefully unsnap dash trim bezel, lift away and remove.
2. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap driver knee panel, lift away, disconnect and remove.
3. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap dash trim bezel on right side of steering wheel, lift away, disconnect and remove.
4. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap dash bezel, lift away and remove.
5. Extract (4) 7mm hex bolts securing radio, lift away, disconnect and remove.
2005-UP CHEVROLET EQUINOX
2006
PONTIAC TORRENT
1. Unsnap dash surrounding radio, A/C and shifter. Disconnect and remove.
2. Remove (4) 9/32" bolts securing radio. Disconnect and remove.
2005-UP PONTIAC G6
1. Open glove box, remove (7) 9/32" screws from the inside glove box.
2. Pop off side panel next to door and remove (2) screws. Remove glove box.
3. Remove (3) 9/32" screws from under driver's dash panel.
4. Remove side panel from driver's dash using a panel removal tool. Remove (2) 9/32" screws from behind.
5. Driver's side under dash can now be removed.
6. Using a panel removal tool, remove radio dash bezel.
7. Remove (2) 9/32" screws holding A/C controls and remove A/C controls.
8. Remove (4) 9/32" screws holding radio to dash. Disconnect and remove radio.
2004-UP CHEVROLET MALIBU
2004-UP CHEVROLET MALIBU MAXX
1. Open glovebox, remove (8) 9/32"a screws from the inside glove box, and remove trim above glove box using a panel removal
tool.
2. Pop off side panel next to door and remove two screws. Remove glove box.
3. Remove trim below key hole.
4. Remove (2) 9/32" screws from under drivers dash panel.
5. Remove side panel from drivers dash using a panel removal tool, and remove (2) 9/32" screws.
6. Drivers side under dash can now be removed.
7. Using a panel removal tool, remove radio dash bezel.
8. Remove (2) 9/32" screws holding A/C controls and remove A/C controls.
9. Remove (4) 9/32" screws holding radio to dash. Disconect and remove radio.

INSTALLATION TO HELP PREVENT ELECTRICAL DAMAGE. WE RECOMMEND THE USE OF A
VOLT/OHM METER OVER A TEST LIGHT TO CHECK WIRING. A TEST LIGHT OR GROUNDED
WIRE PROBE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE'S COMPUTER AND/OR DIAGNOSTIC
SYSTEMS. AVOID ALL FACTORY AIR BAG WIRING - AIR BAGS CAN ACCIDENTALLY DEPLOY
CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.

• See your vehicle's instructions for any special tools your installation might require.
• Read all instructions accompanying your car stereo/cassette player for proper wiring and mounting
instructions.
