99-7012 DASH DISASSEMBLY MITSUBISHI GALANT 2004-UP isconnect the negative battery ter- minal to prevent an accidental short circuit. Unclip the radio trim panel including the climate controls and radio con- trols. Unplug and remove the panel. (Figure A) Remove (4) Phillips screws securing radio chassis to sub dash. -

99-7012 KIT PREPARATION Secure the climate controls to the radio housing using the factory hard- ware. (Figure A) 99-7012 KIT ASSEMBLY DIN RADIO PROVISION WITH POCKET Note: Refer also to the instructions included with the aftermarket radio. Slide the DIN cage into the radio hous- ing and secure by bending the metal locking outward. -

99-7012 KIT ASSEMBLY ISO MOUNT RADIO PROVISION WITH POCKET Note: Refer also to the instructions included with the aftermarket radio. Mount the ISO Brackets to the radio using the screws supplied with the radio. (Figure A) Slide the radio/bracket assembly into the radio housing until it snaps into place. -

99-7012 KIT ASSEMBLY DOUBLE DIN RADIO PROVISION STACKED ISO MOUNT UNITS PROVISION Note: Refer also to the instructions included with the aftermarket radio. Cut and remove the center bar from the radio housing. (Figure A) Snap the Double DIN brackets to the inside edge of the radio housing. -

99-7012 FINAL ASSEMBLY FINAL ASSEMBLY (A) Strip wire ends back 1/2" B) Twist ends together C) Solder D) Tape Locate the factory wiring harness in the dash. Metra recommends using the proper mating adapter and making connections as shown.
