INSTALLATION STEPS
1) Remove the car's rear bumper. There are seven bolts holding the fascia in place, four along the top, under
plastic covers and three along the bottom. The fascia will then unsnap from the tire wells and slide rearward.
The bumper beam is removed by removing four 13mm nuts attaching bumper to frame rails.
2) Disconnect muffler at hanger by sliding rubber hanger off post. Remove heavy undercoating from frame
surface where frame plates make contact. Lift hitch into position under car as shown. Hitch should be as far
rearward as possible against metal lip. With hitch in position and level, mark frame plate holes for drilling.
Remove hitch and drill 3/8" holes in frame rails.
3) Shorten muffler post 1/4" to 1/2" at this time for clearance if necessary. Reinstall hitch and loosely install
fasteners. Using hitch as a template drill two 3/8" holes for mounting arms. Install hardware as shown.
4) Torque all hardware to 30 lb.-ft. Reinstall bumper and bumper fascia that was removed in step 1. Reattach
muffler hanger removed in step 2.
PERIODICALLY CHECK THIS RECEIVER HITCH TO ENSURE THAT ALL FASTENERS
ARE TIGHT AND THAT ALL STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS ARE SOUND.
