Installation and operation Water Boiling 1. To boil water switch the temperature controller to The heating indicator light (red) will come on, signalling that the appliance is heating up. After a few minutes the water boils. This is demonstrated by the emerging steam.

Installation and operation Tea preparation 1. Put the enclosed tea strainer into the teapot. 2. Put some tea leaves into the tea strainer (approx. 1 teaspoon per cup) or put the tea bag directly into the teapot (approx. 1 tea bag per approx. 1–2 cups).

Installation and operation 6. Take the teapot off the water tank. 7. Put the teapot under the dispensing tap. 8. Now brew tea using boiling, hot or warm water (depending on the type of tea used) from the dispensing tap. To do so, turn the dispensing tap handle forward.

Installation and operation Hot instant beverages In order to prepare hot instant beverages, e.g. instant coffee, pour the required amount into a cup and pour hot water from the samovar (sections 'Boiling water', 'Tea preparation'). Topping up water HOT STEAM! Risk of scalding! When pouring water into the hot water tank, steam may be released and scald your hands, arm and face! Carefully remove the lid from the water tank.
Cleaning and Descaling Overheating (dry-run) protection The appliance is equipped with an overheating (dry-run) protection. The thermostat automatically cuts off the device when there is no or too little water in the water tank. If the overheating protection (dry-run)is triggered, disconnect the appliance from the socket and allow it to cool down for a few minutes before refilling the water tank with fresh potable water.
Cleaning and Descaling Cleaning DANGER! Water may enter the appliance and cause injury by electric shock. Never clean the samovar base under running water. CAUTION! Health hazard due to the development of germs! Disinfect the water tank of the samovar at regular time intervals. 1.
